The role of Ukraine's inventory of strategic mineral in the total known global supply of critical raw materials is addressed, and strategic mineral raw materials of Ukraine, the state and problems of the mineral resource base (MRB) of Ukraine, the systematic analysis of MRB of strategic minerals of Ukraine and the ranking of MRB of Ukraine by investment attractiveness was conducted. According to the degree of investment attractiveness, four types of raw materials have been identified for metallic and non-metallic minerals: traditional (iron, manganese, titanium, uranium, kaolin, foundry sands, building and facing stones, refractory clay); highly promising (rare earths, zirconium and hafnium, lithium, scandium, germanium, graphite, potassium salts, abrasive raw materials (garnet), quartz raw materials, piezooptical raw materials); promising (nickel, cobalt, chromium, aluminum, copper, tantalum and niobium, beryllium, gold, phosphorites, apatite, fluorspar, glauconite, flux limestones and dolomites, limestones for the sugar industry, bentonite clays, raw stone, field); with unclear prospects (vanadium, lead and zinc, tungsten, molybdenum, platinum and platinum, strontium, magnesium, arsenic, rubidium, cesium, barite, boron, dawsonite, bromine and iodine, mineral sorbents, high alumina raw materials, diamond, raw materials for production of mineral paints, fluorine, sulphur).
